The breath is our life force. It has the power to support connection between the mind, body, emotions, and spirit. We use the breath to activate, to pull up and out stuck or dense emotions, and create space for healing.

Breathwork for Somatic Release &
Stress Reduction

The breath is a healing modality and breathwork a form of active meditation. When used consciously and connected, can tap us into the unconscious realms. It brings us into the present moment, in connection with our intuition and with Spirit. In the present moment, true presence, is when we feel most at ease and able to access gratitude, peace, and joy. To get there often times we need a physical release to move through the barriers to presence.

One of the barriers to present moment awareness is over-thinking or future casting.

Many of us spend the majority of time in our heads. Often experiencing fatigue and mental over-stimulation. Emotions become rationalized and then often suppressed.

It is easy to believe in the full-ness of life, that there is NO TIME to feel. And yet we continue to learn through science and experience that when we suppress or ignore our emotions, it is only a matter of time before our body demands our attention. Our bodies are intelligent and will illuminate when things are left unexpressed, for our ultimate good.

When emotions remain suppressed, they can present as sickness, body pain and tension, depression, anger and explosiveness, tearfulness, obsessive thoughts, and disease.

 

For anyone seeking a deeper exploration into breathwork, Christy's attentive and personalized approach as she gently guided me through all aspects of focused breathing, was a deeply enriching experience. Her expertise and compassionate presence elevated the experience, leading to profound introspection and growth. 1:1 Individual Sessions

Powerful for going deep and exploring the unconscious realms. Where you may feel stuck repeatedly with mental processing or exhausting talk therapy, the breath and body work together to sort and heal.

Sessions are 75 minutes, and incorporate intention setting and grounding, active breathing, savasana, and integration.

Breathwork sessions are held over zoom, with availability for in-person if requested.

Group Classes and Workshops

Breathing within a group setting can be transformative on a different level. The group atmosphere and energy is unique every time.

Group Classes held in person at Stillspace Charleston as well as pop up classes at the beach and local parks.

Group classes are designed to be affordable and outside classes are donation based.

The feeling of safety Christy emits as a breathwork facilitator is so strong, as is her intuition in knowing what vocal and physical support is needed in the moment to move your energy. She has been a resource for me in times of returning from family and gearing up for travel.
